City General Insurance Company Limited started its operation in 1996 with sole aim of extending quality of service in the insuring community of Bangladesh. The company started its operation with a paid up capital Tk. 60 million which now stands Tk. 681.66 million.

The company underwrites all classes of non-life insurance business.
